The Tipton Best Gun Vise is very versatile, handy and well designed. I would rate it 5 stars if the buttstock clamps were built a little more robustly with less flex. A great product for the price! Also, Amazon's price including delivery was the best I could find anywhere.

So far, I'm very satisfied with "Tiptons Best" gun vice, have worked on a couple long guns and having a stable platform that won't damage the stock finish sure beats trying to work off your lap or even a kitchen table. Easy to level the gun, really like all the adjustability and ease of change.

The Tipton vise is well thought out, accommodating virtually any size gun and simplifying tasks such as cleaning, mounting hardware, adjusting sights. The only improvement I could suggest is making it easier to clamp the vise onto the workbench when using a sight drift, cleaning with a bore brush, or doing other jobs that require some measure of force to be applied to the firearm.

I have only had the unit for a few weeks, and used it only once, but I have to say, it is well made. It was easy to assemble and seems to be made of good material. It fits all my different rifles and pistols and seem very stable. I do not have a lot of experiance in firearms service, but I feel this will be a great help in the learning experiance, JV
