What should a recoil butt pad do? I say it should stop the recoil. Maybe I got sent the single "tire rubber" "cushion" you guys had in stock, but, look, when the emperor ain't wearing squat, I'm going to report it. This was the biggest waste of money I've committed to in the last year. I'll be buying some 1/4 inch foamed neoprene and making a sock for my mosin ganant. You guys are priceless. You were all trying to be funny, right?

If you are considering whether or not to purchase this recoil pad, let me be the first one to tell you the answer should be YES YES YES! I used it on my short barreled M38, and the difference between the original small steel plate and the pad, Phenomenal! I could actually shoot it 40 times in one day without cringing or being sore. The next follow up Item to get is a good muzzle break and the rifle will soon been tamed and the pain will only occur to the target.

Price seems a little steep, seeing as it's just a little hunk of rubber, but the effect is definitely worth the money.
I bought it for my M91/30 and it fit pretty well out of the box. A little razor to take off the excess rubber and sandpaper to smooth it, and it fits perfectly.
It does exactly what it's supposed to: it reduces recoil to bearable levels and increases the length of the stock, which was originally sized for late 19th century Russian peasants. The difference was noticeable right away, and now my shooting is more ammo-an-time limited than shoulder-limited.

I received my order in about 10 days. The buttplate fit very well, and the stripper clips functioned properly. I would not hesitate to order from this company again.

The product arrived in a very timely fashion, and was quite easy to attach to my rifle. I took it out to the range several times, and this pad makes shooting the rifle quite comfortable, I noticed almost no pain whatsoever while shooting. To anyone who loves their Mosin Nagant but isn't quite a fan of its incredible power, I'd recommend this product. It also seems to work fine on my 81/30 as well as the M44.
Compared to other butt pads, this one is cheaper, looks better, and works better (at least as far as I can tell.) Great!!!
