Not for me. August 31, 2010 D. Munson (Phoenix, AZ) I have big hands and this was uncomfortable for me. The length certainly is greater, but my finger doesn't fit in the extension's groove, and the bottom isn't cut so that I can fit my finger below it (as does the Ruger factory extension). I gave it to a friend of mine though that has smaller hands and he absolutely loves it. It's really all about how big your hands are.
Excellent addition to your carry pistol. August 22, 2010 T. Nelson (Virginia, USA.) I have relatively small hands and even I appreciate these things. Two in a package, so if you are smart enough to purchase a spare magazine (which I encourage), you will be able to outfit both of them properly. They work just fine on Ruger original magazines and I haven't seen fit to test them on third party products. They are just slightly larger than the extended plate your probably got with your LCP. And the grip is much more comfortable. Gun does not jump nearly as much now, and it really didn't add too much extra bulk to my pocket. Did not affect my accuracy one way or the other, but I am now able to quickly empty the magazine without losing the gun.
Still prefer the big 10 round magazines for target practice, but these little guys are wonderful to have when carrying on my person. Highly recommended to everyone with a Ruger LCP.
The good and the bad. May 1, 2010 RADAR (America) I was pleasantly surprised that my packaging had TWO grip extensions in it. The description didn't mention that you get more than one. I installed the first one on my spare Pro Mags .380 LCP clip. It goes on but, the magazine does NOT lock into place when inserted into the pistol. I put the second one on the Ruger clip. It is clearly designed to fit the FACTORY mag.
I haven't shot my Ruger LCP with the new grip yet. But, it does what I wanted it to do, allow me to get one more finger on the handle grip. I can now get 3 fingers seated comfortably with the grip extension. Someone with big "sausage" fingers will still only get two fingers on the grip.
It looks great and the serrations on the front edge match the factory grip design, giving the extension a factory look. But, when the loaded magazine is in it moves forward pushing the grip extension out a centimeter. Just enough so it's not flush anymore, looking like it wasn't made for it. It might be because my Ruger is brand new and maybe the spring inside the clip will ease up a little taking out that tension.
Buy ARIZONA! Buy Ruger!
Great idea- doesn't fit my hand April 19, 2010 Michael Jordan (Northport, AL, US) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I had hoped someone would make one of these. Unfortunately this one is an overdo for my grip. It gets in the way rather than increasing comfort. Its worth a try though, your hand may be bigger than mine. I would suggest to the manufacturer that they make three different heights which span from the factory extender to this unit. I personally would be willing to buy all three just to find one that works. If this little gun has any problem it's getting hold of it and keeping hold of it. I've never dropped a gun in my life but this one I've dropped three times.
Works well. March 14, 2010 Shock Writer (Knoxville, Tennessee United States) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Snaps on perfectly in place of factory magazine end. Watch out! When you push in the little release button and slide the magazine base off the spring will go flying across the room - put it back in, compress it, and slide the new magazine end on. Works with the Hogue Jr grip by trimming off the bottom of the grip with a x-acto knife thus you have the Hogue finger hold and the bottom of this extended front magazine as a hold (a two point hold) - I put the Hogue Jr. grip on upside down because it fit my fingers best that way. A really nice setup. Search on Amazon for: Hogue Handall Jr. Universal Rubber sleeve.
